Delete your account & data

You can delete your My Materia Medica account and the data associated with it at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — In the app (recommended)

1. Open My Materia Medica and sign in.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Under Account, tap Delete account.
4. Confirm when prompted.

Your account and server-side data are removed immediately after you confirm.

Option 2 — Request by email

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email. Include the email address tied to your account so we can verify ownership.

We process email requests within 30 days and will confirm by reply when deletion is complete.

What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove data stored for your account, including:

• Account credentials and profile identifiers
• Herb, supplement, and intake logs
• Mood check-ins and wellness observations
• Stacks, custom substances, and notes
• AI analysis history and consent preferences
• Synced cloud data tied to your user ID

What may be retained

We do not retain your personal wellness data after deletion. Limited technical records (for example, security or abuse-prevention logs) may be kept only as long as required by law or to resolve an active support request, then deleted.

Before you delete

To keep a copy of your records, use Profile → Export raw data in the app before deleting your account.
